JP's Sports Bar and Grill
1101 Wilshire Blvd
Santa Monica, CA 90401
(310) 394-7660

Very relaxed atmosphere. A little small and it seems that half the people there are the same each time but that never bothered us. Features Darts, Golden Tee, Billiards, Sports, and Guiness. JPs is the coolest, friendliest, and best business in Santa Monica. It's a dive bar so don't expect too much elegance and class. But if you like jukeboxes, pool, darts, and cheap drinks, you might as well get in here.

This is one of the real dives that you can find in Santa Monica. There are plenty over-priced pretentious fake-dives in SM but JP's is the real thing. It is simply decorated and furnished and probably hasn't been remodled since whenever it opened. It's trashy in the best sense of the word. The crowd is not rowdy and the bartenders and staff are very courteous and attentive.
